Aptamil Pepti 2 is for the dietary management of cows’ milk allergy (CMA). Suitable from 6 months to complement a cows’ milk-free weaning diet.
What is cows’ milk allergy?
CMA is the most common food allergy in infants. Although most children eventually grow out of their milk allergy, its diagnosis and management can be a worrying time for parents. The good news is, with prompt diagnosis by a healthcare professional, treatment and expert dietary advice, CMA can be effectively managed and its impact reduced to a minimum. Breastfeeding is best for babies. Infant formula is suitable from birth when babies are not breastfed. Follow-on milk is only for babies over 6 months, as part of a mixed diet and should not be used as a breastmilk substitute before 6 months. We advise that all formula milks including the decision to start weaning should be made on the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian, pharmacist or other professional responsible for maternal and child care, based on baby’s individual needs.
