A traditional recipe the whole family can enjoy. Soya, egg and nut free, it can be served with wheat and gluten free pasta if you prefer.
Preheat oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/Gas 4.
Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well, then blend together using clean hands until it forms a paste and all the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Press the mixture evenly onto baking tray lined with baking paper to make a 13–14cm square.
Cook the bars for 12–15 minutes until golden.
Remove from the oven and cut into six one way and two the other to make 12 bars.
Leave to cool and serve.
