Breastfeeding is best for babies

Please consult a healthcare professional to make an informed choice on feeding your baby milks & weaning onto solid foods.

Breastfeeding is best for babies and provides many benefits. It is important that, in preparation for and during breastfeeding, you eat a healthy, balanced diet. Combined breast and bottle feeding in the first weeks of life may reduce the supply of your own breast milk, and reversing the decision not to breastfeed is difficult. The social and financial implications of using an infant milk should be considered. Improper use of an infant milk or inappropriate foods or feeding methods may present a health hazard. If you use an infant milk, you should follow manufacturer’s instructions for use carefully – failure to follow the instructions may make your baby ill.

Aptamil Anti-Reflux

Aptamil Anti-Reflux

Aptamil Anti-Reflux is a specially thickened formula, designed to help feeds stay down. Suitable from birth.

How it works

Thicker foods are proven to help reduce the symptoms of reflux. Aptamil Anti-Reflux is specially formulated with carob bean gum so that the milk is thicker in consistency. It is clinically proven to be thicker on preparation than other anti-reflux formulas, and it also stays thicker in your baby’s stomach.

What are reflux and regurgitation?

Reflux occurs when the contents of the stomach move back into the oesophagus after feeding. Regurgitation (or possetting) means the stomach contents come up into your baby’s mouth.

If you think your baby has reflux, speak to your Health Visitor or Pharmacist for advice.
